LivingWriter made it to the top of our list because it has all the features (and more) of Scrivener with a really modern and clean user interface. One thing I have to point out right away about LivingWriter in comparison to other writing apps, it’s beautiful! It seems like they gathered all the best features of writing apps in the past and melded them all into one. LivingWriter is actually new to the scene (launched in 2018). Out of all the software we reviewed, we found four that we’d recommend as well as some honorable mentions.ĥ.1.10 Ywriter: $11.95-24.95 LivingWriter – The Best Book Writing Software of 2022 With all the technology in the world, it’s about time technology helped us write! ![]() Some of the newer ones are just plain bad and seem like rushed jobs. A lot of the ones on the market are mostly just software with very specific features, like distraction-free writing or grammar checking. Something like your books or your screenplays. I’m talking about a full-scale word processor like Google Docs but is tailored towards writing something more than documents. Not just something that checks your spelling or turns off other apps to keep you focused. What I was looking for here is an app or software that helps you write easier and faster. To separate the useful from useless, I’ve had to spend quality time with them (and also pay for some of them). Especially when reviewing something you’ll be using to write your novel, it requires some time investment! It’s not an easy thing sifting through writing apps and book writing software. People’s Pick: From Gary Apter If it hasn’t been mentioned previously, I recommend Bubble Fever for iOS.Long Story Short, the Best Writing Apps in 2022 are: Gaz’s App Pick: Delectable Wine Free. 17 year old + rating Guy’s Pick: The Google+ app for keeping up with all you do on G+. They look at some issues of the day and continuously get sidetracked away from what they started talking about. Anyway Gaz and Guy have a good time catching up on Guy’s Florida trip and his attempts as pitiful as they were at surfing. The GMen are back and just before an Apple event that will no doubt delight and astound us all! Or maybe it’ll just be a phone or two. People’s Pick: No People’s Pick this week…sigh Posted in Podcast | Tagged Apple, Art Text, iOS, iPad Mini, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5s, Mac, Spider in da house MyMac Podcast 473: Brightening Everyone’s Day Gaz’s App Pick: With Spider in da house, spiders spiders are everywhere, well in the UK anyway. Guy’s Pick: Art Text by Belight software. Because they really have no choice as was reasoned above. What are GMen to do except just bite the bullet and (sigh) go ahead and buy new iPhones. Gaz wants one now because of the better camera but ALSO wants a new iPad Mini that he has no choice about either because his family is always (sigh) on the full sized one. Guy doesn’t necessarily want one as his 4S is still working well, but ropes his son into the equation so he (sigh) has no choice. ![]() Posted in Podcast | Tagged Apple, iOS, iOS 7, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5s, Libre Office, Mac, Stickman, Storyist MyMac Podcast #474 – 2 Phones…1 OS It might not be the most original game but it’s darn addictive and highly entertaining. Possible People Pick? There are games and then there are GAMES that suck away hours of your life! Stickman Downhill is a simple premise, just control your little guy on the bike as he powers down various hillsides while jumping over gaping gaps and petrifying plummets. People’s Pick: From Karl Madden -:- Stickman Downhill for IOS £0.69 ($0.99 Guess) Gaz’s App Pick: LibreOffice is an offshoot from the old application suite, now renamed Apache OpenOffice. Companion iOS app $9.99 for Mac and for iOS Guy’s Pick: Storyist by Storyist Software $59 download, $79 for boxed copy. They talk about some of their likes and dislikes about iOS 7 and if you like the after show stuff, you’ll LOVE this episode! Big thanks to all our G+ fans for all their contributions. Gaz has a tale of woe about Apple’s AppleTV update which seems to have disappeared. Guy will be seeing his probably sooner than Gaz due to Apple’s unofficial US first policy. It seems both GMen are getting new iPhones.
